Yoga allows us to dance with the divine. Shamanism illuminates the invisible realm. By integrating these two ancient traditions, we see that they are one in the same...they are the Oneness of being.
For one month we will live the yogic path. We wake at dawn for meditation and spend our days flowing through classes focused on asana, ancient wisdoms, ayurveda, shamanic theory, and much more. In the evenings we will gather for sound, song, and celebration. This is a holistic curriculum with a strong emphasis on experiential learning. Contact us today to find out how you can take part in this intensive and magical experience.

Course Structure: The Chakana
The chakana (teal shape above) is an ancient Peruvian shape that symbolizes the three worlds we all must go through in any spiritual process. We walk along this ancient path to shed light on the shadows of the lower world, to find our true self in the middle world, and to merge with the oneness of being in the upper world.
Lower World
Advanced Creative Sequencing & Adjustments, Therapeutic Yoga & Trauma Sensitivity, Pre-Natal Deepen your personal practice and teaching of yoga throughout this cycle with advanced asana analysis and adjustment techniques. We will explore the art of teaching methodology in detail and creative sequencing. Incorporating approaches to yoga teaching for special populations such as Pre-Natal and older populations, and we will learn how to diagnose and treat dis-ease in the body through therapeutic applications to yoga asana. Together we co-create holistic classes from a variety of lineages, artistically weaved together with themes and intentions, encouraging advanced levels of awareness throughout the program. |
Middle World
Shamanic & Energetic Healing, Holistic Cleansing, Ancient Wisdom, Tantra, Ayurveda & Yoga Philosophy Focus on the expansion of our own sacred consciousness in the context of Shamanic Healing, Holistic Cleansing and Ancient Wisdom. By releasing the stories and holdings that no longer serve us, we create more space to see our gifts, and the essence of who we are as teachers and beings on this path of Light and Oneness. Connecting to the essence of the true teacher within, we are able to integrate the wisdom of our own yoga with the deep wisdom of Native American earth medicine, shamanic practices, subtle energy systems and other healing practices of the world. Exploring Ancient Wisdom traditions and deepening our understanding of the timeline of Yoga as we study the philosophy of the Bhagavad Gita and the Upanishads, and various Tantras, providing us the tools and understandings for us as teachers to weave together authentically inspired intentions and themes into our practice and into our classes. |
Upper World
Uncover your heart’s true voice through ancient and modern practices of Bhakti (the Yoga of devotion) with ceremonies of sacred song, Kirtan, Bhajan and Mantra practice. Learn to introduce musical themes to classes and invigorate your own understanding with the science and philosophy of Nada Yoga —the Yoga of inner and outer Sound. Through the art of deep listening we come to awaken a profound presence. Refresh your understanding of consciousness and meditation in the lessons of Nidra—the Yoga of sleep and deep relaxation as we equip our tool-bags with another therapeutic and healing gem. In this cycle we will encourage you to find your unique creative expression using sound, mantra and mystical poetry, the power of our word and creative process as you enhance your teaching and offerings with the wisdom and freedom of expression and emotional integrity to better serve yourself and your community. |

Holistic Yoga School and Studio, a community place for learning and growth. At Holistic Yoga School International, we believe that Home is where your Om is. At each of our classes and courses, we devote special attention to creating comfortable environments for students to release from the distractions of day-to-day life and dive into practice and study.
Our teaching style draws from various traditions and ancient wisdoms, delivered with contemporary style and translation. Focus is on the practice of yoga as an instrument to reveal a greater sense of healthy awareness, harmony and serenity.
A holistic approach to life offers a well-rounded and authentic program. Students learn self-healing techniques and find depth in their practice through these sequences. Spinal integrity and alignment are emphasized.
All students are welcome, beginner to advanced. Posture modifications are offered so students may find the desired level of intensity for their practice.
While distinctive and contemporary, our approach is strongly rooted in the philosophical teachings and wisdoms that have been handed down through the generations. Our programs take a comparative approach to teaching, exposing participants to a vast array of concepts, theories and traditions. In this way participants may mesh what they find relevant into yoga that is meaningful to them.
We draw on various natural health practices to offer a well-rounded and authentic approach. Particular emphasis is placed on a holistic approach, spiritual awareness, energetic awareness including chakra systems, meditation, earth medicine, artistic expression, ethnobotany, herbalism, dietetic health, yoga as medicine, Ayurveda, Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, Sanskrit, Seva work / community involvement and sustainable natural living.
